The championship starts on Saturday
Vác FC’s first championship match of the new season in NB III will be on the 16 August, at 17:30 in the Vác Stadium against Dunaharaszti MTK.
We aim to keep up the work of the previous season, when we won both the championship and county cup, and continue to win our matches. During the summer we participated in useful training matches, we even played a promising draw against the NB II team, ZTE. Last Saturday we played in the 1st round of the Hungarian Cup against the NB III team, Nyírbátori FC an away game, which we won 5-1 (half-time 2-1).
- Before the Saturday match, we had 40 trainings in total, played 8 training matches and 1 cup match. This doesn’t mean a lot of course, we will see if we are well prepared after the match. There were many changes in NB III, so there could be many surprises, but the championship is strong and Vác FC can be a powerful team. – said head coach János Csank about the preparations.
What changed int he Vác team?
Two players left: Viktor Benke, who couldn’t match the trainings and his work, and Máté Gulyás, who will continue his career in Austria. New players are Gábor Németh from Érd, Dávid Milkó from the Haladás Academy, Péter Pölöskei from RKSK, Alex Szeleczki and Péter Szekeres. Szekeres and Milkó are still young so they will play in the U21 and the adult team as well.
What do you expect from the Saturday match?
- Dunaharaszti MTK is a well-known team, they have a pasi in NB III. We played 2 training matches last season, one of the we draw, the other we won, but that shouldn’t mean much for the upcoming game. It won’t me an easy match, they can play quite dangerously, but we aim to play our game and win the match.
