3 goals introduction
Vác FC has started the new season in NB III Central division. Csank János’s team was lucky enough to play the first match in their home stadium. Gergő Tányéros and Péter Farkas, who have been a strong duo in our defence, were missing due to injuries. Gergely Tóth and Alex Szeleczki replaced them in the middle of the defence. Another new player, Gábor Németh from Érd, replaced Máté Gulyás, who have left the team. On the midfield, another new team member, Péter Pölöskei played.
The game was only a few minutes young when it became clear that we’re not in the county league anymore, as the opponent is more organized and better prepared. As usual, our team tried to gain control, but now we only had a slight dominance. The first chance came in the 8th minute, when Péter Pölöskei kicked in the right corner, but the goalkeeper caught the ball. Another 8 minutes later the Dunaharaszti team had a chance that was saved by goalkeeper Dávid Palásthy. After one more unsuccessful chance, our team finally took the leading when Richár Zsolnai scored a free kick in the 36th minute. The last minutes of the first half were quite exciting, thanks to the strikers of the opponent, but luckily they didn’t success.
Neither coach made any changes in their teams for the second half. The home team controlled the game, which resulted in a goal in the 54th minute by Péter Pölöskei. Both team continued to play with a zest, and Vác FC succeeded again in the 68th minute with Gergely Rusvay’s goal. From the 83rd minute our team played with one less player as Alex Szeleczki got injured and we had no more replacement.
Our team introduced itself very well at the first game and the audience celebrated accordingly. Vác FC won against a strong Dunaharaszti, and we hope they will continue the good game against SZEOL in Szeged.
